Charlotte Ella Sams was born September 11, 1912 at Culver, KS, the daughter of Thomas B. and Mary Magdalene Holmes Stevens.
She departed this life n Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis.
She had reached the age of 94 years 2 months and 9 days. On August 1, 1934, she was united in marriage to Vaden Lee Sams at Lyons, Kansas. They farmed in the Culver commmunity until moving to the Minneapolis Good Samaritan Center in 2004. Her husband preceded he in death March 30, 2005. Charlotte was member of the First United Methodist Church in Minneapolis and was leader of the Culver Livewires 4-H Club for fifteen years. Survivors in clude three daughters: Dixie Frain and Dana Sams, both of Salina and Karen Krone of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister Betty "Jeri" Somers of Salina; seven grandchildren and five great-granschildren. The family suggest memorials to the Culver Livewires 4-H Club or the First United Methodist Church of Meinneapolis. |
